Ink in the Wheels: Stories to Make Love Roll shares the many lessons about inter-ability marriage that are vital in the discussion of independence for those with disabilities with themes that include our own story, family dynamics, intimacy, finances and work, and losing faith in each other and ourselves- and finding it again.

I enjoyed watching your book trailer but to be honest I had know what barton was saying when it came to him talking it would of been nice to have the closed captioning on the bottom. But you guys look great together and wish you the best of luck in your future.

    Megan and Bart,
I caught you on youtube a few months ago. Then I saw that you got a MV-1. I noticed you are from NC so I wanted to contact you and see if you would be willing to talk to me about your MV-1. I want to start a project to bring the MV-1 to Wilmington, NC. I have this concept that I am trying to get off the ground. Basically I would like to build a community here in Wilmington for, of, and about people with disabilities. I am on the Mayor’s counsel for people with disabilities and we have a pretty active disability counsel. The three tenants of my concept are: Transportation, Housing, and Employment. I think if you have a lot of people with disabilites living in one area you can offer more services at lower rates. With the right services people will have more opportunity for jobs and I be believe jobs can set people free to do almost anything they want. It is really about being able to live life and being independent. You can check out my Sunrise Project at http://www.daviddiggs.net

I am working on this by myself so the progress is very slow. I want to improve transportation services in Wilmington as the first part of my project because I think it is the most practical approach. I would love to talk to you or maybe do a video chat. Would you be up for a talk sometime?

Take care and hope to talk to you soon,
    David Diggs
